Why CVets?

CVets is a purpose-built veterinary practice with excellent facilities to provide the treatment your animals may need in an emergency. It operates as an emergency specific clinic at nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.

An experienced veterinary surgeon and qualified veterinary nurse are always on site to provide treatment for your pet and monitoring through the night and weekends should it be needed.

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons require that all veterinary practices must provide 24 hours a day cover for their clients.

CVets aims to provide the same level of care you receive from your daytime practice and to continue that during the night. This kind of care is unachievable in a small veterinary practice where staff cannot be with your pet 24 hours a day without potentially compromising their work.

In using CVets your local practice feels that they are offering the best possible treatment for you and your pet day and night.

CVets works closely with your own veterinary practice to maintain continuity between your daytime surgery and ourselves.

What do I do if I think my pet may need veterinary attention?

Please get in touch either by phoning your own Veterinary Practice or call us on 01872 560952.

We can arrange to see you at a mutually convenient time. We only request that you call so as to ensure we are fully prepared for your pet.

What if I am on holiday?

We understand how stressful it is when your pet becomes sick or injured whilst you are away from your normal veterinary practice.

At CVETS we will be happy to provide advice and treatment during our opening hours. If your pet requires ongoing treatment whilst you are visiting we will liase with the closest subscribing veterinary practice to where you are staying and if required arrange transport to the practice with Animals At Home pet ambulance as part of our service.
