Prescriptions are available from this practice

Prescription only medicines (POM-V’s) are medications that can be dispensed by:

• this veterinary practice
• another veterinary practice
• or a pharmacy

They can only be supplied by a veterinary surgeon for an animal under their care which entails your animal being examined at CVETS.

A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary.

You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medication that may be dispensed for your animal.

The general policy of this practice is to re-asses an animal requiring repeat prescriptions. Should repeat prescriptions be required please contact your day practice for frequency of re-examination and associated charges.

If you would like a prescription for any medication being recommended please inform the vet at the time of your consultation.

Each prescription will cost £10.00 + VAT.

Please be aware you will also be required to pay for the cost of the medication where it is obtained from.
